New Years Eve Prayer

Father God,   We come to you as humble people.    We don’t deserve all that you have blessed us with in 2025. Lord we have stumbled and made mistakes, but your grace is enough is all that we need, and for that, we say thank you.    I ask that you forgive us for where we may have fallen short this year.  Help us to continue having faith in you, knowing your will is what’s best for us.  Now God as we go into 2026, I pray that you will touch our hearts and our minds.  I pray that we will draw closer to you, and learn to lean and depend more on you than ourselves.  Give us the strength to stand boldly for you. And no matter what, even if it is not comfortable for us, to do what you have called us to do.  Touch everyone reading this prayer. If it is your will, give them the desires of their hearts, and I ask that you bless them with whatever they may stand in need of . God we give your name the glory, honor and the praise. We thank you...

God, I Thank You

Image
Saying, “God, I Thank You”, sound good to say, but have you ever thought about what you are thanking God for? I have always heard people say, “God, I thank you”, and in my mind I would always think, what are you thanking him for? It was not until I got a little bit older and wiser that I realize, sometimes that is all you have to say. Just thinking back on everything that God had brought me through, I can’t help but to say “Thank you”! Psalms 107:1 says:     “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” That is powerful! Because he has done so much in our lives that we need to say “thank you”! It so powerful, it is repeated in the Bible several times: Psalms 136:1  “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” (If you continue reading Psalms 136 in its entirety, it list why we should give thanks unto the Lord.) 1 Chronicles 16:34  “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy end...

Be mindful of false Prophets and Teachers

As I was cooking I was scrolling through social media. I like watching the funny videos, and from time to time, I find a good live stream to watch.  In today's society, there are many platforms where people are naming the name of Jesus, so there are so many people who are not getting accurate scriptures or accurate information when it comes to the word of God.  Well as I was scrolling one particular live stream caught my eye.   On his live stream, it said “prophecy and spiritual readings”.  First thing that came to mind was "What?" I think I was shocked and confused at the same time. I was about to scroll away, but my curiosity got the best of me. So I watched a little.  Then he said something that made me get off his live stream all together.  First, He made the comment that he was a prophet and a psychic and he call his gifts his gifts.  Among other things that just rubbed me the wrong way.  Another one said he was “walking in prophetic an...

Forgiving One Another.

Forgiveness is a topic that is a hard one to talk about. It is hard, because when you talk to others about forgiveness, they do not want to hear about it or they dismiss it.  So recently, I was in a situation where I had a falling out with someone close to me.  Now, I could see where the person was wrong in the situation and I complained, yes I did complain, about what had happened and the things this person was saying.  But as I sat down to write this blog a few weeks ago, God had to show me somethings. He took me to Matthew 18:21-35 In this scripture, Paul asked Jesus a simple question.  “Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” (Matthew 18: 21 & 22)  Jesus goes on and speaks a parable.  (Now growing up I was taught that a parable was simply an earthy story with a heavenly. m...

The Excuse of "Tomorrow"

Image
We all have a lot of things in our lives that we need to get done. If you are like me, a wife and a mother, the “to do list” is a mile long.    It is always something that needs to be done. If it’s not for me, it’s for my husband or my boys. It is always somewhere to go, or somebody needs something.  So most of the time I have to get to that load of clothes or cleaning my house “TOMORROW.” We love to use the excuse of “tomorrow” when it’s things that we need to get done.  More often than not, it’s things that we can do today, but choose not to do it.  We find it easier to say " I will get to that thing tomorrow", than taking the time to get it done today.  It’s funny, because as I am sitting in the car riding to church and writing this, God is speaking directly to me. How many time did God tell you to do something, and you say “ Well Lord,  I will do it tomorrow”, or "I do not have time to do that right now", but you find the time to get on you phone a...

Becoming a Child of God

Image
One of my earliest memories that I can remember is my mother taking me to church. I don't think there was ever a time in my life where I was not in church.  My mother made sure she took us to church every Sunday.  One day, I remember going to my mother at the tender age of 6 years old and asking her about what it ment to be saved.  And I remember her taking me by the hand and with her bible in hand, talking to me about God and what it ment to be saved.  I got saved that day sitting in my living room at the age of 6. I was a child and I understood that becoming a child of God was one of the most important things that I needed in my life.  God has placed on my heart to write this blog a while ago, but I did not know how to or even what I was going to say.  But God being the loving God that he is showed me. So what does it mean to get saved and why is it so important.  When we are born, we all are born sinners. That means we have to learn about who God is...
