You are Loved!

There was a time in my life, not too long ago, that I did not feel loved. I did not feel loved by family, I did not feel loved by friends.

I felt like I was not worthy of being loved by anyone, because of who I thought I was in my life.

I thought I was nothing but a mistake, because at that time in my life, I was always getting into trouble, and I just felt so unloved.

Some of you may have felt like that, or you may feel like that now.

But it is furthest from the truth, because there is someone who loves you unconditionally.

See, people will say that they love you, and it could very well be true, but some love come with a price.

But there is no love like the love of God.

You don't believe me?

Take a moment and think back on your life. The times that you felt unloved, and the times you felt all alone. In those moments, for me, I remember feeling an unexplainable feeling, and somehow things seem more brighter to me.

Then I realized it was Gods love surrounding me.

See, we all know the scripture John 3:16. That was one of the first Bible verses we learned.

But when you learn to understand that scripture, it takes on a whole new meaning.

You mean to tell me because God Loves me that much he sacrificed his only son?

Yes! He loves us that much he scarified his only son so that the world, that's us, could believe in him and get saved.

Just reflect on the life of Jesus. All the things he went through heading to the cross. All the pain he suffered. The humiliation he went through. The nails in his hands and feet. Being stabbed in his side.  Dying on that cross for a person like me.

That right there is enough to realize that God loves us. He cares so much for us.

God scarified Jesus, and Jesus endured it all so we can have an opportunity to get saved.

Romans 5:28 says,

“ But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Even in our sinful mess, God thought of us to send Jesus to the cross for us.

It make me smile, and Give God praise knowing, that even before I came to know him, and give my life to him, he still had that love for me.

In different scriptures in the Bible, Deuteronomy 31:8, Hebrews 13:5 and Joshua 1:5, they all mention that the Lord will, "never leave nor for forsake thee"

That shows just how much God loves us. Because he has always been with us, and no matter what we go though in life, he will, and  always have been there for us, showing us how much he truly loves us. Even when we did not realize he was showing us his love for us.

So if you ever fell unloved, think on God and how much God loves you and how he has already shown just how much he truly loves you.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for loving us in-spite of ourselves. Thank you for always being there for us, even when doubt, and fear, and questions of your love for us comes up.

When we feel like no-one loves us, help us think back on all the ways you have already shown us your love.

Lord, if someone reading this is not saved, I ask that you touch their hearts. Let them know they are not alone. Let them know it is by the grace that you have given us and thought their faith in you that they can become saved and experience the love that you have for your children.

Continue to wrap your loving arms around us and help us feel the warmth of your love in our lives every single day.

In Jesus precious name,

Amen.
