Never Alone

Find yourself a quiet place and just reflect.

Think back on all you have gone through in your life. 

 

How did you handle it? Did you feel alone? Did you feel like it was something that you could not handle on your own?

 

We all have had that feeling in our lives. We all have felt like we could not handle the situation that we were placed in. We even question why we were going through what we were going through.

 

We might have found ourselves saying “I cannot handle this. This is too much for me.” Or we may be finding ourselves questioning why things are happing. 

 

But I am gaining the understanding as I grow older, that it is in our going through the things we do, it makes us grow stronger in the Lord. 

Why, because we come to the understanding that God is there with us no matter what. 

 

This is why I want you to be somewhere quiet and just think.

 

 

Think back on all you have gone through in your life. All the good things and all the bad. Has God allowed you to be alone? 

 

 

In the first few verses of Deuteronomy 31, Moses encourages the children of Israel because they are about to go to the promise land. He lets them know that God has already gone ahead of them and prepared their way for them by destroying the nations that was there.

 

And in Deuteronomy 31:6 it says 

            “Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

 

God will never leave us alone. Even when we feel like we have no one when we are in a stage of uncertainty in our live, or we feel like no one will understand when we are going through.

 

 

God is always there. 

 

He is there when everything in our lives is going our way. He makes sure there is nothing hindering us. 

 

He sees us heading though the storm. But, he is already in the storm before we get there making a way for us. 

 

He is there with us while we are in the storm. He is holding our hand guiding us through it, even though we cannot see which way to turn because our vision is cloudy. 

 

 

And he is there for us when we come out of the storm. He wipes away our tears and lets us know that everything will be ok. 

 

I thank God he is who is he is in my life. The day he saved me when I was a little 6 year old child, he knew that I was going to go through. 

 

Just like all of us Christians who has given our lives to Christ, he sees everything we have been through.

 

But through it all, as I reflect for myself on my life, I can smile and say “Thank You Lord for all you have done for me, even when I didn’t know you were working things out for me.”

 

So, as you are doing your own personal reflection, what has God done for you in your life that makes you smile knowing he has been with you all the time?

 

 

Prayer:

 

Father God, thank you for all the things you have done for us in our lives. 

Thank you for being there for us when we were not even there for ourselves. 

Thank you for looking out for us, even as we were going through. Letting us know that everything was going to be ok, because you have prepared the way for us, even before we knew what was going on. You moved things out of the way before we even knew there was something blocking our path. Thank you Lord for never leaving us alone, and always being there even when we fail to realize it 

Please God, continue being our guide through the rough times, and thank you for being the Lord and Savior of our lives.
