You are who God says you Are. 

 

You know what I like about the Lord. He talks to us, and he lets us know what it is that he has for our lives. It could be something big, or it could be something small, but he will always let us know what he has for us. 

 

But we always try to find a way to not be what God has call us to be or do what he has called us to do. 

 

As I was sitting here, God reminded me of a scripture in Jeremiah, and I went back and read the first chapter of Jeremiah. 

 

It opened with a conversation between the Lord and Jeremiah.

See, Jeremiah thought that he could use the excuse of him being a child when God told him that he ordained him as a prophet.

 

But God had already let him know he knew who Jeremiah was even before he was born, and he could not use him being a child as an excuse. 

 

Jeremiah 1: 7& 8 says 

“But the Lord said unto me, Say not I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord”

 

We cannot use the excuse of our circumstance when it comes to what God has called us to be.  He knows what we are going through and what we are facing even before we know. 

 

Jeremiah 1:9 says, 

“Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth”

 

Everything that you need to be all that God has called you to be, he has already put inside you.  

 

You don’t have to try to find it, it’s already in you. God has equipped us with everything we need to carry out his will, even before we knew what his will is. 

 

We try to find ways to not do what God has for us to do. Or my favorite, we make every excuse, just like Jeremiah, as to why we cannot be who God says we are.  But why? 

 

Why is it so hard for us to just do what God says? 

 

All we must do is listen to the voice of the Lord and carry out his instructions that he has given us.  

Is it always something that we want to do?  No 

Is it going to take us out of our comfort zone? Most likely.

 

But there is a reason that God has placed a specific task on your life. Because you are the only one who can do what he has call you to do, the way he has called you to do it. 

 

It does not matter your age.

It does not matter your circumstance. 

All that matters is that you be obedient to God’s will for your life. 

 

God will always talk to us and let us know what he has for our lives.  There is no excuse we can give him as to why we cannot carry out his will.

 

 Whatever God has for us to do, he will give us the tools to be what he has us to be, and will always be there with us every step of the way.

How to become better for 2026

As we are a few days into the New Year, I want us to keep a few things in mind. We need to Keep God first.                    The most important thing is that we need to make sure we are keeping God first in our lives. One way we can do that is to make sure we are spending more time with God. As much as we spend time looking at social media feeds, we need to spend that time talking to God.     Studying Gods word is one way we can spend more time with him. When we spend time in the bible, we get a better understanding of who God is to us and what he truly means to us. It shows us what God has for our lives and how we can achieve what the calling he has for our lives.  We must take time also in prayer.  But we have to make sure that it is not a one sided conversation.
