Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Today we celebrate mothers!! I cannot let this day pass with out celebrating the life my own mother, Miriam, or Ann as she liked to be called.

I could never post my feelings about my mom after she passed a way in 2022 until today.  It hurt too much, and I found myself getting sad.

My mother was a loving mother. She was truly an example of a Godly woman.

She took us to church every Sunday and she taught us about God.

Whenever I had questions about life or the bible, I can remember sitting in her kitchen at the table she used to prep her meals and had a long talks with her. Sometimes we laughed and even cried.

She even took that time to encourage me to go further with my life. That's the type of mother she was. She always wanted us to do all we needed to do to better ourselves.

She was a mom who did not play about me or my siblings. She got on all four of us the same and she loved us all just the same.

She even loved all eleven of her grandchildren.

She is one of the reasons I am who I am today. As her child who got into the most trouble, she always showed me love and kindness even when she was getting on me for something that I did.

I can remember asking her how she raised me knowing I was her biggest headache. I remember her  telling me that she had to let me go and allow God to work on me because I was just too hard headed and I didn't want to listen. She said as a mom, that was one of the hardest things she ever had to do, because she did not know what God would have to do to get me to listen.

I loved my mom so much. When God called her home October 21, 2022, it hurt so much. But as I  thought about the life she lived, I am grateful that she was the example of a Godly woman that I needed and I am grateful of the life lessons that she taught me over the years.

I thank God that he gave me 37 years with her in my life.

So, as we celebrate our mothers and all they have done for us, if  your mother is still alive, cherish her, and love on her all that you can.

Not just today, because its mothers day, but everyday that God blesses her to be in your life.

If your mother is passed, cherish the memories and the things that she has taught you for you to be the person that you are today!

Be Blessed.
