Lets get Serious about Our Walk with God.

We all have seen someone they say that they are Christian and that they love the Lord. They say they go to church, and talk about how much they love the Lord. But if you be around them long enough, you see that they don’t live what they are talking about.

More than likely, it’s the way they interact with others, or even how they speak that gives them away. And we look at that person and start questioning them about their walk with God.

Now they say that they walk with the Lord, but their actions don't show otherwise. And we are quick to say that their walk with God needs work.

But let’s take a good look at ourselves for a moment. Are we taking our walk with God seriously?

It’s easy for us to look at others and have an opinion about how they act and  come to the conclusion that their walk with God is not where it needs to be.

But When are we going to look at ourselves and take inventory on our own lives?

That is a valid question, because it is easy for us to see where others need to improve but we have some things in our lives that is hindering our walk with God.

"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Matthew 7:5

We need to get our walk with God right first before we can say anything to someone. Yes it is easy for us to see others flaws, but what about seeing our own.

Deuteronomy 5:33 - "Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess."

It is important that your life lines up with what God has commanded us.  That is the only way that we are going to be able to truly live this life for God. Because we are examples to others looking at us on how to live, and as the scripture says we will live longer.

So how do we become serious about our walk with God? Simple

    1.  We must have a relationship with God, ( get saved). Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

2 . Study the word of God.  2 Timothy 2 :15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

    3. Praying and having a conversation with God. Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

    4. Changing you ways.  Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We need to get serious about our walk with God. So that we can be sure our lives are lining up with everything that God commanded us to do in his word.
Be Blessed.
