New Year, Same God

 

            

As we are a few days into the New Year 2024, I know everyone is excited to be in a new year so they have their many goals that may or may not get accomplished this year. 

 

But want to encourage you this year to remember that even though it is a New Year, God is still the same God as he was last year, and the year before that, and so on.

 

See now a days, people want to use the excuse that “God is doing something different this year’’ Or “we got to meet the people where they are at”. 

 

What does that even mean, “meet the people where they at”?  That statement never made any since to me.

 

But, if we are meeting the people where they are at is contradictory to what God said in his word, no thank you.

 

To me, it is just an excuse to not do the will of God and use the house of God to become popular.

 

God want us to bring people to him, but the right way. Using Gods house as anything but that or using the name of God any different way is a wrong way.

 

 Romans 12:2 “and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God”.

 

 

This scripture simply means this. Don’t do what the world is doing. We are supposed to be set apart from the world. So, if the world is cursing and doing things that we know is not right, then why is the children of God accepting it? 

 

 

Simply they want to use the excuse that God is changing year after year for people to understand him better. 

 

In the book of Malachi, God uses Malachi to speak to the people on his behalf. If you have not read it, I urge you to. 

 

But in the first part of Malachi 3:6, he says “For I am the Lord, I change not”. 

 

Sweet and to the point. God said he changes not. No matter what we may think he was meaning by it, and no matter how we try to change it to fit the type of lifestyle we want to have, God does not change.

 

That is why it is important to read the word of God for yourself. I can write blogs all day long, but I always want you to go back into the bible and read the scriptures for yourself so you can see what it says and get a clear understanding of the word of God. 

 

I am only human, and I could say somethings wrong, that is why you must search the scripture for yourself to see what God says. 

 

 

That is the True way you can know what God says about everything. How God wants us to operate and Christians and truly know what he wants for our lives without feeding into the notion that God is changing because it’s a new day and time. 

 

 

My prayer for all of us in 2024, is that we get a deeper understanding of God’s word, and we gain a closer relationship with him, so if someone tries to tell us that God changed his meaning for fit today’s society, we will know the truth, and we will have a understanding that God is the same as he always been.
