Action

Actions

Have you heard the expression “action speaks louder than words?” I have heard it a lot in my life. But it is a true statement, especially when it comes to living for God.

We say that we are Christians, but our actions tell us a different story.

People can look at us and see by what we show them (our actions) just what kind of Christian we are.

In Matthew 7:15-20 it explains it simple. Jesus talks about looking out for false prophets. Jesus uses tress and the fruit that they grow as an example for knowing the real Christians verses the false ones.

Verse 17 says “Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Which tree are you? Are you the good tree who tries their best to live a Godly life? Or are you the three who does what you want to do (the evil tree?)

See, the actions of our lives will tell on us. People can take one look at us and tell what type of person we are.

If we name the name of Jesus, there should be evidence of a change when we get saved.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold all ting are become new.

The Bible says that when we come to Christ, we are a new creature.

That means our lives change. That is where action comes in. It’s the changing of our lives.

See, when we become Christians, we change our lives for the better. We do not act the way we use to. Our walk, our talk, our outlook on life is different.  This is us showing action by changing our lives.

We cannot say we are Christians and not allow our lives to show otherwise.

In verse 17 it says, “old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.”

That is us showing the action of leaving our old man behind, and following God.

One thing we must remember, if we are going to live a Godly life, we must put into action the change in our lives, so that others can see the “good fruit”.

God bless.
